Where to brunch in Sao Paulo: PJ Clarke’s

One of my favorite things to do on Sundays is to go brunch hunting with my boyfriend in Sao Paulo (after all, part of the idea of working out and eating healthy all week is to be able to enjoy gastronomical fests every now and then).

My top pick so far is P. J. Clarke’s at Mário Ferraz street, a franchise of a New York restaurant chain. It means we’re talking American style brunch.

It’s an all-you-can-eat buffet (oh yeah, a brunch open bar!) with tons of bacon, scrambled eggs, breads, pancakes, waffles, pain au chocolate, croissants and so on. It also includes typical Brazilian breakfast itens and beverages: fresh squeezed fruit juices, American coffee, tea, milk, cereals…

The waffle was, by far, my favorite: perfect crunchy dough, a marvellous custard and tons of mapple syrup, chocolate sauce and whipped cream.

I spend some good hours there, having gallons of coffee and eating waffle after waffle. I strongly recommend it!
