I was a well intentioned silly young lady, she was a strong personality crazy one. Together, we’ve been through the best and worst days of our lives. I’ve slept at her place in secret and accompanied her at a job interview; she’s gone with me to bad dates. We’ve danced our asses off when we didn’t drink and, later on, we drank til we forgot our names together. She was there when I had my first heartbreak and helped me get out of that bad vibe. I went house hunting for her when she desperately needed a place. We were there for each other during our divorces.

Wee fought each other, we made peace, we cried and laughed a lot. The years go by, lovers come and go, we are beaten down and rise again, and one is always around to make company to the other. It’s a wine friendship, it gets better with time. A cozy embrace, all ears and all heart, zero judgments and tons of comprehension and love.

Today, Mi, is your birthday and, once again, I can honestly say I am so, but so happy to see how far you’ve come. You’re strong, unique, sensational. You’re fucking awesome. I love having you in my life. That was the best party ever. You were the best party favor of all!
